Espresso
The difference between filter coffee and espresso is in the roasting - and has nothing to do with the coffee bean. We use the same Bolivian beans as for our drip coffees. We roast a little longer and darker for espresso. The Maya Single Origin Espresso roast is a small exception. It tastes best in the espresso stove-top pot (Bialetti or Moka Pot) or in the French Press. We would like to show that espresso does not always have to taste strong and bitter. Fruitiness and acidity are preserved. Lovers of Italian espresso are advised to use the Pachamama espresso roast. This is also very good in the portafilter. It is balanced and rather nutty-chocolatey with a hint of red fruit. You may find brewing recipes by clicking on the individual articles.
