SEASONAL NANO LOT
Medium-light roast filter coffee with notes of blackcurrant, elderberry, cherry, raspberry, green apple, and lemon. Milk chocolate and panela sweetness. Silky, milky texture.
This coffee comes from Manuel Mamani and his wife Lily Marquera, who grow Arabica plants using an agroforestry system in the Mancokapac Community in Caranavi, La Paz.
Catuai is a variety traditionally grown very frequently in Bolivia and, due to the high altitude there, often develops very complex flavors with pronounced fruity notes. Since all our coffees come from agroforestry systems, we feature Catuai particularly often in our lineup, as this variety thrives without synthetic fertilizers and has adapted to the local climate. This washed Catuai from Manuel, however, is a real surprise. Its pronounced berry notes demonstrate once again that “terroir” within Bolivia is highly diverse. Our customers often compare it to Kenyan or Ugandan coffees.
Our Seasonal Roasts will be available for a maximum of 6 weeks before being replaced. Since these coffees are unique and limited in quantity, however, a Seasonal roast may sometimes sell out sooner.
